So it looks like another of my favorite shows is going to cancellation hell. Veronica Mars' time slot is being taken by Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll, then the show will return later this year with 5 stand-alone episodes, down from nine, with no news of a fourth season.
Here's what I picture in my head, when I think about TV production:
TV Producer/Bigwig 1: Hey, that Veronica Mars show is getting fantastic critical reviews.
TV Producer/Bigwig 2: Yeah, and the ratings, while not stellar, have been going up.
TV Producer/Bigwig 1: [snorting a massive line of coke] Yeah, so let's cancel it.
TV Producer/Bigwig 2: [snorting a massive line of coke] Right. How about eight episodes of vapid whore wannabes with big tits?
TV Producer/Bigwig 1: [grabbing the ass of the 19 year old 'actress' who has learned not to talk during 'meetings'] Now you're thinking!
TV Producer/Bigwig 2: Snort! Smallville!
TV Producer/Bigwig 1: Snort! [fondle] Gilmore Girls!
TV Producer/Bigwig 2: Snort! [fondle] Beauty and the Geek!
TV Producer/Bigwig 1 and 2: SNORRRRRRT!!
...or something like that.
